Weekend: An oops, and a visitor
Jun. 23rd, 2008 11:49 amWiRF went well this weekend, and we hope it keeps building, as we're finally up to the income levels we'd like to see.
I, however, am ready for a nap now. The weekend was a lot of fun, but we got home late, and I could use a few more hours of sleep.
Two pictures (both at full camera resolution because I don't feel like changing them right now):
First we have the results of
teeka asking me to take a picture of the light streaming through the building across the jousting bowl. In order to show the glory effect from the fog, it's a 50 second bulb exposure (which, as an aside, I can do with my coolpix, but not my dSLR), pushed to +2EV. There is an important lesson to be learned here, namely, when one is doing really long night exposures, one should clean the dust off the lens first. I also need to remember a tripod, as this was done with the camera carefully propped up on a book sitting on the hood of the truck in order to make the camera relatively stable and level.
Seond, we have a visitor to the booth. He tried to stay in character, but was paying way to much attention to Teeka's bead making demo and they were talking shop (he does fiberglass fabrication and custom steroa installations and made all of his costume parts himself).
