Mar. 9th, 2004 09:48 pmI was in a meeting today with my boss, and the prof who is nominating me for the staff award came in, and we were talking about it.
My boss says he thinks I really deserve the award, but he's not going to write me a letter of recommendation, because he's oriental (and a non-native English speaker) and just can't write good letters, so he doesn't want to detract from the effort. I also found out that while the nomination requires at least six faculty, mine is going out "by unanimous consent of the faculty of the Department".
