Yesterday was a busy day.

First, I went with [livejournal.com profile] snakewyfe and [livejournal.com profile] ringsnake for the inspection on the new SnakeHouse.

Everything went well, it seems to be a very nice, well-maintained house, but it's showing it's age in a few spots. primarily (as they both mentioned yesterday) its electrical panel:

Fortunately, the current owners are going to have that fixed and are also going to have the furnace cleaned and checked out so that Snakewyfe and Ringsnake don't have to worry about that.

After the inspection, we all went for lunch (S&R, me, and [livejournal.com profile] teeka) and Monty's. When Teeka & I got home afterwards, I got sent out to U-Haul to get a hitch kit for the truck. $240 later (and a second trip to U-Haul because the directions had a different year range and model number on them, which they decided was a typo), the truck now has a 400/4000-rated class II hitch. This was important, because the class I bumper hitch that was on the truck isn't strong enough to pull a

, which Teeka describes as "huge". It's about 10'x6' inside, sleeps 5-6 easily (two on each wing and 1-2 on the table), has a lot of counter space and inside storage, a stove, heater, all the jacks & levelers (including bubble levels on one corner). It'll need a little work - there's a few fasteners loose, one of the wing bungees broke, and I've got to see how much it'll be to get the breaks fixed.

When we got home, we then started in on making me new peasant garb (mostly Teeka doing the work while I did other stuff), and then the thunderstorm started (and I shut down the computers, thereby delaying getting pics to Snakewyfe & Ringsnake), until I eventually fell asleep around midnight.
