Time for a new printer
Sep. 7th, 2006 09:15 pmI took the printer apart tonight to clean it and see why it doesn't completely eject paper (the paper stays in the head path so that the print head crumples the preceding sheet when it starts printing the next one). The ejector fingers inside the printer are all broken off. The printer has a manufacture date of Jan 6 2001, so it's lasted beyond its design lifetime.
I'm thinking about one of the new Pixma printers as a replacement.
