I know it's the day after Thanksgiving, and the whole world is out shopping, but, unfortunately, I still need to go to Menards for wiring stuff to work on the garage.

Today's project is planned to be pulling two circuits to the garage and starting the wiring and ductwork for the dust collector.

I spent half an hour in Menards collecting $200 in merchandise, and then spent another half an hour in the checkout line waiting to pay for it.

Since then, I've got two line of 12ga romex run from the garage to the circuit breaker panel, and now I'm off to the garage to do the inside the garage wiring.

The two new circuits are wired into the garage.

Both circuits have a duplex outlet on each side of the wall (so that I can use them when [livejournal.com profile] teeka isn't and so on). One of them has switches on it to control the dust collector. If either switch is on (we each have one), the dust collector runs. Both switches have to be off to shut down the collector. The plan is that whoever is working flips their switch on, and when done, flips it back off. If we both start in on projects, when one of us turns off their switch, they can't shut down the collector if the other one is still using it.

Now all I need to do is find my outlet tester so that I can make sure everything is wired correctly. I've used it in the house before, but neither of us remembers seeing any of them (I think I own three) lately.
