It was a busy day

teeka off at Farmer's Market, then stopped by the old apartment to check for mail. From there, I gassed up the truck (gas is coming down, but 3/4 of a tank is still spendy), and went to Menards.
Three trips through the checkout later, I've got two dozen 2x4s, several boxes of screws, some shelf brackets, and a few other odds and ends. Then a stop at Mounds for bird seed (which I didn't manage to put into the feeders yet).
Went home and cleared the maple seeds out of two of the three eaves troughs and pulled a couple sections of the deflector grid off (dumb idea if you have trees that put out as much debris as maples) so that I could unplug one of the downspouts. I need to borrow an 8' ladder from work and then I'll pull the rest of the grids off so that I can hose out the gutters occasionally.
Then I started framing in Teeka's glass shop. I've got the front wall and part of the side wall done. I need another ten 2x4s to finish. After that we'll start putting up drywall and put in the door. The plan is to also frame in an opening or two for a furnace filter so that when we add exhaust hods the incoming air goes through the filters instead of sucking sawdust in around the door.
Tomorrow we're doing the family reunion for Teeka's mom's dad's side of the family. Afterward I may run over to Menards for the door - I need to check how long the door sale runs.
