We rule trash day
Mar. 15th, 2004 10:06 amThe trash men just came through (all three trucks - recycling, the claw truck. and the regular compacter truck), and they took everything we put out. Dave (the maintenance guy), who also goes running around ahead of the trash guys to make sure everything's in a format they'll take, didn't need to touch anything either.
It was also kind of amusing to watch the trash guys test each walking stick we'd thrown out for usability (whether for walking sticks or trash-poking sticks, I don't know).
So far, the final load from garage and craft room cleaning was 11 40-gal bags, 4 kitchen bags, ~6 walking sticks, a pile of cardboard tubes, a pile of scrap wood, two bags of empty paper bags, two bales of cardboard, an old bed frame, a microwave cart, a box of old video tapes, an old fencing recorder, and a couple of milk crates.
