Family Construction Weekend

We just started pulling up the carpet in the hallway. We hoped to find hardwood underneath, but, no, there's 9" vinyl tile. And adhesive residue from the vinyl flooring (from Armstrong) that had been put over it and removed before the carpet went in.

The big projects for this weekend are going to be laminate in the living room and hallway (Tarkett Newport in Tigerwood) and the frame and rails for a drop ceiling in the basement.

Aw man, I wish I could be there to help with laminate. It's kind of fun if you don't have to rip up EIGHT BAZILLION LAYERS OF LINOLEUM.
