My plan for this afternoon now is to deliver a sawzall, a hammer drill, and a tubing bender to some grad students, give them some basic instruction in cutting, bending, and wall-mounting stainless steel tubing, and then leave.

Yes, you could end up with less graduate students, and thence less work for the rest of the year.

Or less of EACH graduate student anyway...

Less of each student would be worse, because then not only would I have to clean up the mess, I'd probably wind up having to finish what they were working on.
