I just added a set of shelves to my workbench so that there's a place to put all the glass working supplies and equipment for when
teeka picks up her stuff to let me use the big table that is my workbench for my own projects (the bench is a 4'x8' table that we built in the garage as a family construction weekend project).
I also rearranged the power in the garage so that everything isn't plugged into the garage door opener outlet (which is also the circuit for two of the three bedrooms and half the hall lights in the house). Now I can run the big saw or
teeka can run her kiln without having the lights go dim all over the house or tripping the circuit breaker. There is a (conveniently located) quad outlet box right on the side of the circuit breaker panel connected to a 20 Amp breaker, and not connected to anything else in the house. I ran a cord from that to over the workbench and then dropped a three outlet splitter from that. It now provides dedicated power for my miter saw and the kiln (although not both at the same time).
