Weekend update
May. 17th, 2004 01:55 pmWe spent the weekend trying to sell
teeka's jewelry at the Cotswold Renaissance Faire.
We had fun, didn't really make any money, but aren't down much from it either. We did, however, get really sunburned. It's the whole "first faire of the year" thing, as we start to realize all the small things we forgot to bring along and suddenly the camper becomes more useful, since I don't think we can really get everything in the truck if we're going camping too anymore.
This is the third year for Cotswold, but it's their first spring faire. Of course, being up against the Burlington Chocolate Festival, an unexpectedly expanded soccer tournament (that went two weekends instead of its original one non-overlapping weekend), several proms, and a high school graduation, there weren't a lot of people. Having the Chief of Police decide (for no known reason according to the sergeant who got to deliver the message and the signs) that the advertising signs along the main highways had to go just before noon on Sunday didn't help either.
Pictures will be up in a few days (I have 225 of them to sort through first).
