I just zapped the CF card in my camera.

When I bought it a 1.5 years or so ago, 1GB LexarPro 40x cards were $400, but I found it on sale for $200.

Right now at Amazon, SanDisk Ultra II 1GB 60x cards are $55. They're probably a little cheaper elsewhere, but Best Buy was listing them for $109, so it's probably not a bad deal.

I didn't want to have to buy a new one, but the camera's not much good without it (my spare cards are original Nikon starter cards, and hold about 8 pics each).

Never buy removable memory for retail.

Have you tried to chkdsk it on windows? That might fix it up.

I have one of those cards, it's very nice.

I'm going to wait until I'm at work to try to fix it. I've got better utilities and a better CF reader there. If it does fix, then I've got a large spare in case I need it (there's been times when a second big card would have helped).
