Yard work

This was going to be a productive yard work day. I had planned on trimming and raking and mowing, but unless the rain stops, that's not going to happen.

Instead, I'm going to start measuring for power in the garage, and then decide if I want to pull 4 strands of romex, or run bigger and put a panel in the garage (right now, it's going to be primarily a question of budget).

Yes, I agree that a sub-panel would be better. However, if my budget says that right now I can only afford to pull two strands of romex (the dust collector and a circuit on y side), then the sub-panel will be an upgrade at some other time.

Obviously you should be doing acquisition runs to the buildings of people who have earned your ire in the past. They don't really NEED all that wiring.

Yes, but by the time I've driven all the way to your house and back, the gas money alone would have paid for my wiring.

This is a true thing. The fistful of breakers alone would cost a C-note, I think. I'm glad all of the trips to Home Despot I've made 2H2006 have been 87% on Shelly's nickel!
