I took the bat out of the soaking tank today. It's sitting on the back of the sink drying. Tomorrow I'll wrap it in paper and put it somewhere to dry until March or later, and hope I remember where it is by then.

What's the fun in that?

This way, years from now, I can find it again, wonder why I have a distorted 10" long baseball-bat shaped piece of wood in a paper bag on a shelf, and then realized that I don't have the lathe anymore to do anything with it.
