Water main breaks

Last night while we were eating dinner I noticed yellow flashing lights. There were Water Utility trucks fixing a break down at the end of Elgar (north of us). The above picture is from this morning when I went out to catch the bus. Is it bad of me to be glad there's not that much ice in from of my house? I didn't have time for more pics (that's my bus you see coming over the hill), but behind me were two cars stuck in the ice.
