I think its time for a new router - my current one is starting to spark and smell like something's burning.
Anybody got any recommendations on what to avoid?
I'd like variable speed, but I'm not sure if plunge or fixed base would work better for what I want to do.

Date: 2004-02-28 07:46 am (UTC)I went to Menards last night and bought a 10A Skil 1820 (1/4" collet) plunge-base router, but am going to order the fixed base also since that'll work better (I think) for detail work with fancy bits.
